Tips to Help You Find a Dependable Pool Service in Calverton, NY
A backyard swimming pool is a wonderful addition to your Suffolk County yard. It can provide much-needed and well-deserved relaxation, offers endless hours of entertainment, and can deliver welcoming relief during the height of summer’s heat. A swimming pool is also a sizable investment that can cost tens of thousands of dollars; of course, given all the benefits it provides, the expense is well worth it. With that said, however, to ensure that you will get the most out of this feature, you want to make sure that you hire the most reputable pool service; a contractor you can really entrust to bring your vision of an outdoor oasis to life.
Want to install a swimming pool? The following are some simple tips that will help you find the best Calverton, NY pool company to meet your specific needs.
Ask the People You Know
Do you know anyone who recently had a new pool installed in their Suffolk County backyard or who had an existing pool refinished? Family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers, perhaps? If so, ask them which Calverton, NY pool company they used, and if they would recommend that you use them to design and install a poolscape for you.
Word-of-mouth recommendations from the people you know are often the best way to find reliable professionals to perform the work and/or services you need or want to have done, including swimming pool companies. Why? Because you can usually count on the people you know and trust to offer honest recommendations.
Search the Internet
Whether you don’t know anyone who can provide you with pool service recommendations or you do but you’d like to add a few more candidates to your list, search the internet for swimming pool contractors. Simply type “pool company in Calverton, NY” or similar queries into Google and you’re bound to get a long list of options to choose from. You can also check sites like the Better Business Bureau, Angie’s List, and Home Advisor for recommendations.
Take the time to visit the websites of a few of the pool service companies. Look at the services they offer, see if they have an online portfolio of poolscape projects they have completed, check to see if you can find information about credentials (how long they have been in business, if they’re licensed, etc.), and read through any testimonials or customer reviews you may find.
Get in Touch
Once you’ve compiled a list of at least three pool service candidates that have piqued your interests, get in touch with each one. A reputable Calverton, NY pool company will offer in-person consultations. They’ll come to your Suffolk County home to discuss the swimming pool design you’re envisioning, to find out about your budget, to share information about their company, including the services they offer and their credentials, and to assess your yard.
Ask each pool service you meet with key questions that will help you make a final decision; for example:
Of course, you can and should include any other pertinent questions that will help you decide which Calverton, NY pool company to use.
When you’re researching pool service providers, don’t forget to include JAS Aquatics on the list of contractors you meet with. Calverton is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) on eastern Long Island in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 6,510 at the 2010 census.
Calverton was first referred to as “Baiting Hollow Station” when the Long Island Rail Road arrived in 1844. The station closed in 1958, but the sheltered shed for the station remained standing as of 2007.
The area’s Native American name was Conungum or Kanungum, meaning “fixed line” or “boundary”. In 1868, the Calverton post office opened, named for Bernard J. Calvert. It remained a small farming community specializing in cranberries, which grew in swampy areas along the Peconic River until the Navy purchase.
Calverton’s history is tied closely to Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant, Calverton. In 1953, the United States Navy purchased 6,000 acres (24 km2) around Calverton from a local farmer named Harry Edwards, including the mansion of a grandson of Frank Winfield Woolworth’s, so that Grumman could test and finish jets. A 10,000-foot (3,000 m) runway was built, and most of Grumman’s F-14 Tomcat and E-2C Hawkeye aircraft were to pass through the plant.Learn more about Calverton.
