Why You Should Consider a Fiberglass Inground Pool for Your Medford, NY Backyard
From pool parties with family and friends to cooling off and unwinding after a long day of work, there’s nothing better than a backyard swimming pool. Not only will it provide endless hours of entertainment and relaxation, but a swimming pool can also increase the value of your Suffolk County property.
Now might be the perfect time to invest in your Medford, NY inground pool installation. Before you contact a company, decide what kind of pool is best for your needs. If you’re looking for the top benefits and reasons to wow your guests, then consider installing a fiberglass inground pool.
Quick Installation
Fiberglass inground pools are easier to install and less expensive than other types of pools. You’ll be swimming in your backyard in no time with a reputable provider who can have the job done in three to six weeks, on average.
Minimal Maintenance
With a fiberglass pool, you’ll spend less time cleaning and more time playing in your pool. Vinyl liner and gunite pools are two common types of residential pools with lots of maintenance (and frustrations).
Gentler on the Skin
If you’ve ever jumped into a gunite pool and noticed that your feet, knees, hands, and even your elbows are scuffed up when you get out? The rough concrete can do a real number on your skin and can seriously detract from the joy that a pool is supposed to bring. A fiberglass inground pool is much easier on your skin, as it’s completely smooth from top to bottom. If bloody toes and fingers don’t sound appealing, go for the cool new option.
Compatible with Salt Chlorine Generators
Salt chlorine generators have become extremely popular, as these devices are a low-maintenance way to maintain the cleanliness of a pool. The downside, however, is that these generators are hard on concrete and metal, so they aren’t ideal for steel vinyl liner and gunite pools. Fortunately, fiberglass inground pools and salt chlorine generators go hand-in-hand, further reducing the amount of time you’ll need to spend maintaining your Suffolk County swimming pool.
Low Cost
Vinyl liner replacement, acid washing, and resurfacing aren’t cheap. When you calculate the cost over the lifespan of your pool, it’s fairly expensive. With a fiberglass in-ground pool, you’ll avoid these costs altogether and have a much more affordable backyard swimming plan – which just means that you’re going to enjoy it for years to come.
Customizable, Aesthetically Pleasing Design
Fiberglass inground pools are incredibly versatile. They come in an assortment of shapes, sizes and styles to suit virtually any backyard space or aesthetic—from simple pool designs with a water feature, stone accents and a single slide to elaborate water parks with built-in seats, multi-level slides and ledges. When you choose a fiberglass pool for your yard, you can create a truly one-of-a-kind design that reflects your unique tastes and style.
Medford is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 24,142 at the 2010 census.
The Long Island Rail Road established the Medford station in 1843 in a flat wilderness in the Long Island Central Pine Barrens. The station connected to the Patchogue Stage Road between Patchogue and Port Jefferson, and a post office was established.
In 1907 the LIRR established the Medford Prosperity Farm (officially called Experimental Station #2) on 80 acres (320,000 m2) to show that crops could be raised in the Pine Barrens. Theodore Roosevelt visited the station in August 1910. As the car drove across a trail between Medford and Wading River, it got stuck in the mud and Roosevelt was said to take a “flying leap” to get out.
By the mid-to-late-20th century, developers were building new neighborhoods within Medford. Eagle Estates was built along Horse Block Road east of NY 112 in 1963, although it was planned as far back as the 1930s. The development included a Blue Jay Market shopping center on Horseblock Road west of Eagle Avenue, and a youth baseball and athletic field east of Sipp Avenue between Wave and Race avenues. The Long Island Expressway was built through Medford in 1970, with interchanges at New York State Route 112 and Horseblock Road, the latter of which is close to an older interchange with Horseblock Road and Long Island Avenue, and was not completed until 1999. The Pines was established in the 1970s east of Buffalo Avenue, south of Jamaica Avenue, north of Woodside Avenue and far west of Patchogue-Yaphank Road.
